“Float” is the
essential Matt Lande : If you don’t understand this tune then we don’t
know what to tell you. This song is a fine example of the excellent chops
of Mr. Lande “Anyway” is
an atmospheric acoustic inner reflective piece of craft “Ordinary When”
combines so many variant styles of music in a mid tempo fashion , that
it is perplexing in its sonic dimensions & we'd again say that that
this particular tune is a great encapsulation of Matt Lande's music ;
Replete with a superb , interactive dynamic-duo of female/male Vox cross-fire
This song has
the capacity with its verve & confidence to include me in the fan base
of Matt Lande. If this artist can deliver this type of work , how can
one lose. Find the fancy God in your inner heart , folks... Welcome to Matt
Lande’s ordinary world. He is surely an extraordinary man of artistic
substance ; Coupled with a poetic sense of lyrical form & passion
Matt Lande makes
us wonder back to a once ancient Pop God named Phil Seymour , who had
some absolutely wonderful pop-rock workings out of Tulsa Oklahoma as contrasted
to Nashville. But Matt has some alt-country twang that we can’t quite
figure out ; None the less all encompassing in it’s charm aspect “Did You Notice”
is a fine mid tempo song that reminds us of Peter Case & the Posies after
a dose of Gary Myrick meets post mod-alternative new country. It’s something
we just cannot put our thumb on But we do notice
Matt Lande when he loses his mind ; As we all do from time to time in
the world of love & life One must have
a 20/20 inner vision to understand the stance of Matt Lande. It’s an admirable
, bold & endearing work of musical magic via new roots/pop/rock at it’s
finest individual expression |
