Members Stone-vox/guitar
, Tyronne-drums & Wolfgang-bass offer up a unique blend of alternative
power pop & rock flavors Songs such as "An
Ocean Apart" with it's rough edgy undercurrent & great engaging vocals
are contrasted with songs like "Why, Cow" as works of off the wall rowdy
rocking intensity & unabashed attitude & playing In "Minutes On The
Wall" , Frogcircus show a side to us of introspection & personal self
exploratory musings coupled with a fly away hard strewn bridge. Along
with tunes like "Run" & it's duel vocal arrangement & half-step manic
pulsed progressions, the band shows a fluid stretching audio plane "August" is a great
melancholy & melodic song with a vague retro feel & vibe of European
days of future past. Frogcircus segues into cuts like "Fuzz Prophet"
& crash, bang their way into a wave of sonic energy "Cheese Liquor"
offers up a free form alterna-pop gem showcasing a strong songwriting
imagination & craft. This makes it obvious why the band has had such
phenomenal success in Europe as witnessed by their extensive press &
performance reviews When listening to
Frogcircus, one need simply scope out the cut "The World's In Black
& White". There is no grey area in this song's multi colored hues. Excellent
triple vocal harmonic layers melded with a warm production layer, right
down to the bowed strings intro The future beams
bright for Frogcircus on the musical exploration & progressive, satiric
& mindfully comic theme content. Frogcircus certainly dream in color
& perhaps the rest of us should follow suit & do the same |
