In the signature
cut "Ineffable Desire" , one is witness to the ghostly elements that are
intrinsic to Ella Blame music ; Together with the cuts like "How Things
Have Changed" it becomes evident that the musical carnival of Ella Blame
incorporates minor cadence structure , coupled with half tone Vocal lines
that are unique in design & otherworldly atmospherics "Fast Life"
shifts into a trance-like cut that intersperses rhythmic verses & Ella's
haunting Vox. Contrastingly , "Thought Control" is more atonal & drips
an industrialized zone into the stratosphere In the tune "I
Can't Sleep" , we are treated to a pseudo eastern middle tempo dollop
of alienation ; All the more bewitching due to Ella Blame's Vox delivery
"Dance With
Me" reflects the shadow of say a Bjork work ; Whereas in "Crossing The
Border" there is an introspective journey to be had that exudes a singular
vision peculiar to Ella Blame's alien Gothic effect "Another Side"
is a sonic bridge unto itself. Hybrid alternative streams of originality
bring to mind some of the works of Lene Lovich Together with
the Trance electronica of "Swamp Of Lead" & the Lo-Fi opulence of "Violent
Silence" , one comes to the perplexing conclusion that Ella Blame's audio
impact is like peeling the layers of a glass onion. Some convoluted blues
influence coalesces with a neo-show tune aura , that is both chilling
& mysteriously cunning , simultaneously "Covered
With Sweat" & "So Special" , bring to mind the genre-bending expansion
of this music into sonic zones that would be comfortable in industrial
Metal mode akin to Marilyn Manson ; But Trent Reznor never seemed to steer
that band into a metamorphosis such as this Ella Blame create
a cathartic wall of sound that amplifies the senses. Where the music is
taken from here is an enigma. Suffice it to say that Ella Blame's musical
vision is unlike anything one has previously partaken of & this in itself
makes the music all the more fascinating & mood altering |
