"Revolution"
is a prime example of Blackmaker's emotive energy & chops. Complimented
by their strong Vocal presence & a swagger & attitude all their own "On A Good Day"
is a strong cut that vocally reminds one of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell
; Whereas contrastingly "Spiraling", purveys a sonic melodious quality
in the verse, to go along with a wall of guitars in the chorus "All about A
Girl" is a welcome refrain of acoustic ambiance, that highlights Blackmaker's
diversity in composition & direction. Replete with E-Bow reverse gated
electric guitar effects, this song is as strong as any on "Staggering

An inventive composition of hybrid derivative originality & one of our
favorites "Few & Far Between"
has an altruistic & dark majesty, that shows how Blackmaker can profoundly
impress in their ability to take a reflective view & conjure up a mood
of melancholy depth Blackmaker is
an audio enigma, in that they easily bare their incisors & show ample
power & visceral prowess in their relentless bombastic musical approach.
Yet they also have an innate other worldliness that they are capable of
traveling to if they so desire It is in moments
of contemplative lucidity that Blackmaker's talent shines through & not
just in their formidable frontal decibel attack. For they are effortlessly
capable of knocking the socks off of a listener on multiple levels of
manifestation. Yet it is in their occasional self depreciating point in
space, that they are at their most appealing |
